Announcing the availability of 24-Hour Ambulatory Electrocardiography (24-Hour ECG) at Cooper MediCare. This investigation enables us to monitor the electrical activity of your heart over a 24-Hour period, screening for Cardiac Arrhythmias including Atrial Fibrillation.

Influenza Vaccine

The influenza vaccine is now available.

The National Immunisation Advisory Committee recommends that all of the following patients receives the influenza vaccine:

All persons aged 65 years and older

All persons aged 6 months and older with the following:
– Chronic heart disease
– Chronic liver disease
– Chronic neurological disease
– Chronic renal failure
– Chronic respiratory disease
– Diabetes mellitus
– Down Syndrome
– All cancer patients
– Persons suffering from blood disorders
– Immunocompromised patients
– Persons with a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 40
– Pregnant women
– Healthcare workers
– Residents of nursing homes
– Carers
– Persons in contact with pigs, poultry or water fowl

All children aged 6 months and older with the following:
– Any condition that can compromise respiratory function especially those attending special schools/day centres
– Children with moderate to severe neurodevelopmental disorders such as cerebral palsy and intellectual disability
– Children on long-term aspirin
