Dr. Cooper has specialist qualifications in Family Planning and Contraception. With a Diploma in Obstetrics and Women’s Health from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and many years of experience in Family Planning, along with a Certificate in Contraception from the Irish College of General Practitioners, Dr. Cooper is available for all your Family Planning needs.

INTRA UTERINE DEVICE (COIL) & IMPLANON INSERTION

Cooper Medicare provides an easily accessible Long Term Reversible Contraception clinic.  Patients are offered an initial assessment consultation with Dr. Cooper to discuss individual suitability for the Mirena, Kyleena and Jaydess intrauterine devices (IUD) and the Implanon implant device, which last from 3 to 5 years, depending on the chosen device.  These products provide ease of mind and mean that you do not need to remember to take a pill every day, or to change a patch or vaginal ring at specific times during your monthly cycle. They are also ideal for patients who are unable to take the pill for medical reasons.
